2013 has been an amazing year here at MyMind! What better way to start 2014 by looking back at some of the events that made the MyMind news over the past 12 months.
- Young people from across Cheshire and Wirral who took part in ‘recruitment and selection’ training in January are now able to take an active role when CWP CAMHS recruits new staff.
- In February, we showcased the ‘ 5 ways to well-being’ animation created by young people in conjunction with the Richmond Fellowship.
- April saw the launch of ‘Book-a-leaf’ – participation in practice developed by young people and the Columbia Team.
- Workshops for CAMHS staff highlighted how staff strive to demonstrate the core values of CWP - ‘care well-being and partnership’.
- The young people at Pine Lodge took part in Malala Day Discussions; created bracelets for ‘Carers Week’; and had a ‘pepperoni and pages’event for World Book Night.
- The CAMHS ‘crew’ have had a busy year including-taking part in participation events around Children and Young People’s IAPT and Tackling Stigma on World Mental Health Day.
- In September we announced that in partnership with Catch 22, CWP CAMHS would be transforming services to the Children’s and Young People’s Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (CYP IAPT) model of care during 2013/2014.
- The education unit at Adcote House took part in an eight week ‘problem solving’ course, ran a summer holiday social skills group and remembered the ‘golden rules’ during anti-bullying week.
- West Cheshire LD CAMHS team continue to provide ‘advice’ sessions in special schools across their catchment area.
- In December 2013 ‘MySleep’ went live – packed full of useful resources that can be downloaded by young people, parents and professionals
