School holiday social skills groups at Adcote House

Barbara Brunton CAMHS Therapist at the Adcote Health/ Education Unit speaks about the summer holiday social skills groups.

“At the Adcote Health/Education Unit (Wirral), we have been changing the way we provide social skills groups.

We now offer ONE DAY workshops in the school holidays.

The sessions start at 10.00am (so you still get a lie in), and finish at 2.00pm (so you get the rest of the day to yourself!!)

There will be a range of activities, games and crafts to choose from.  We learn together about different social skills and ways to build self-esteem and feel good about yourself.  These are important for everyone and something we all continue to develop through life, but as well as learning we hope the day is fun!! ”

If you live in the Wirral and have a CAMHS worker, and you are interested in coming to one of the groups, please ask your CAMHS worker to make a referral to the group.
