On Monday 4th August 2014, Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust’s (CWP)  Mymind team welcomed Ruth Gordon, Jane Mischenko and Janet Addison from Leeds CCG’s, who were visiting CWP CAMHS to find out more about the development and the day -to day running of the website and twitter feed (@mymindfeed).

A agenda filled day began with Nicola Jones, from CWP’s communication and engagement team (comms) speaking about the governance of the website and the importance of the good links between mymind and comms.

This was followed by Rachel Pulman, assistant psychologist in Wirral, Claire Evans, participation and engagement lead for East Cheshire and Abbie, a member of the CAMHS crew, who presented on the way the trust engages young people in the development of services (including the website).

The day concluded with Lesley Dougan, children and young people’s practitioner, speaking about the practicalities involved in the day to day running of the website and twitter feed, including training clinicians to author posts, and how our CAMHS participation workers tweet about what’s going on in CWP CAMHS in real time.

It was a truly productive day.  The feedback from our visitors has been fantastic and we hope to continue to share our experiences of good practice with others in the future.
